Hey Andrew, I've been subscribed to your blog for awhile now. Good to see another post from you man. How's your bulk going so far? Any noticeable gains?
Hey man, it's going alright I guess. I'm currently consuming 3000+ calories a day and I've managed to gain weight and some size, not sure how much of it is fat though. As for strength gains, they've gone up to. I'll post some new stats later.
Anyway, I had a look at your 90 day transformation, good work man! Keep it up!
Nice, man. Are you clean bulking slowly, or doing a regular bulk? Get those gains in, lol.
I learned from the 90 days since I started bodybuilding, and I took in as much knowledge as possible for me daily, and applied what was actually useful.
Pleased with the results, but I still have a long way to go, as far as linear progression, haha.
You should bulk when you've toned down a bit and around 10-12% body fat. Try to bulk as clean as you can, 'cause it'll be easier to undo when you're cutting. If you don't mind gaining the extra fat, then do a regular bulk.
I'd definitely like to hit 8% BF first, prior to doing my first bulk then. I wish you all the best Andrew, and stoked to see the results of your bulk, my man!
Hey Do Ko, sorry for the late reply! Some people bulk to gain muscle mass quickly, but during the bulking phase you gain a bit of fat. This is why people 'cut' after their bulk. Just like those big bodybuilders you see on stage, in their off-season they bulk up and build muscle, and before a contest they go through strict dieting and shred off all their fat they gained.
Eat a calorie deficit. Eat 'clean foods'. Do lots of cardio exercise. Or... you can try intermittent fasting (Lean Gains). I tried this for about a month and lost 3kgs (6.6lbs). You can read more about intermittent fasting here: http://www.leangains.com/2010/04/leangains-guide.html

ReplyDeleteSweet. I'm still contemplating when I do bulk, whether it'd be a clean bulk, or just bulking regularly myself.
